Hey everyone
Just wondering... Is anyone using Leblancs in the UK/Europe?
I'm considering applying for scholarships so I was wondering if it would work against me at all, you know, having a focussed sound and all.
I know, I know, England's clarinet sound is 'changing' but still, there are many many traditionalists and many many clarinetists playing on Buffet over there.
Any help or advice or things that I don't know appreciated, as always!

I've never heard of anyone not getting something because of the brand of their instrument.
Anyway, I know 2 people originaly from Europe who play Leblanc clarinets. Both played their Leblancs while they were in Europe too, not only after they left.

I don't know how it is in the UK.... but for the Netherlands and Belgium:
- Neherlands (my own country..) it's mainly Würlitzer reform Boehm in professional orchestra's.
- Belgium, Walter Boeykens plays Buffet Crampon Festival and Eddy Vanoosthuyse plays Leblanc Opus. They also both play these instruments in the orchestra's.

Ignorant "I" had never heard Eddy VanOosthuyse (sp?) until ClarinetFest this year --- my friends and I all fell in love with his sound at the Concerto Concert --- wow! What a player.
