Ew. Well *I* don't like it either.
On a related note, do we know that Sousa put this theme as the trio to one of his lessor known marches? I don't remember the full title, but it has the word "Artillery" in the middle of it.

Beyond Bad Chr Songs - there are good pieces to play ! In our recent band concerts, the least enjoyed were M C With Chips and Salsa [sorry, Ed H] , a melange of the usual over-played ones, and the over-played Sleigh Ride. Beyond were A Dvorak Slavonic Dance, 3 Danzas from Mexico, and even Gershwin's Cuban Overture. [tough]. My comment on the poors, "Got a match ?" Don
