Hello,
I have two questions and who can answer them?
Please help me and thank you for answer them.
1) What exactly is a Buffet Crampon R13 (I live in Europe and I only know types like RC, Festival, DG, Prestige, Elite and others)?
2) Where can I find a store where I can try several Selmer Recital and Signature clarinets (B-flat and A) in the Netherlands, Belgium, France or Germany?

A R - I'm not a Buffet devotee, but there is much information here on the BB [see some of the topics below]. Why dont you try a search and read some of the comments. Also, there are instrument seller's sites likely under "Resources" [Mark, please help] such as Brasswind & Woodwind, Weiner etc which may have on-line catalogs, which may provide the info you are looking for. My problem (2) is that I have tried every shop in holland to play the selmer signature or recital, but holland is selled out completely! I live in holland and I can say that there is no place in holland where you can find those selmers. I have called the importer and several stores again and again asking when the selmers will arrive in holland. I am waiting and waiting...I have send an email to Musique et Art in Paris; maybe they can help me. The problem about the R13 is solved; I think one can compare it with the europeen RC. But remember: I want to try the selmers! Who can help me? Please answer.

The Selmers are made in the Paris Selmer factory; perhaps a call to the factory would help you find a distributor with some in stock.
Be aware, however, that the Signature and Recital are low volume clarinets, and are very hard to find anywhere.

H&H Music in Houston ( their big store on the Katy Freeway) had to order one for me to try. I was surprised they didn't keep them on hand.

Once I tried a selmer signature and I have to say it surely was a low volume instrument. I'm a professional player and I play the buffet crampon festival set and at that time I did not want to exchange them with the selmer because of the low volume and in the second place the not perfect tuning of the exemplar I have tried. But I heard that selmer is going to improve the clarinets and still I'm interested in the 'new' selmer (signature) serie. So I keep waiting...( the exemplar I tried is proberly still in the shop of Adams, in Thorn, the Netherlands )

The RC and R13 have different bores. I believe Europeans prefer the RC and Americans prefer the R13. Sorry I am no help with your selmers.
