For a beginner (without - for now - easy acces to a teacher) where does the clarinet register leave off and the altissimo begin?

The clarion register ends at C6 (above the staff),C6# and higher is altissimo.
Here is a link to lower atlissimo fingering's C6# to G6.

As far as I know, the clarinet register ends at the C two ledger lines above the staff, and everything above that is altissimo. In other words, the highest you can play without pulling out any of the funny fingerings is the end of the clarinet register, which also happens to be the highest that most middle students can hit (on a good day) AND what most beginning students think is the highest note in the instrument's range (albeit mistakenly).
Of course, correct me if I'm wrong...
