Just a quick question. Can any one help in pointing me in the right direction for info regarding people for my agent to contact regarding any recital and concerto playing in the USA.
Many thanks

With all due respect ... that's what you pay your agent to do ... surely?
Without music, the world would be grey, very grey.

Not really Diz, have you got an agent? I don't pay him he takes commission. Being in the Uk and with a small agency which has some top names on it over here I was going to give my agent a little nudge in the right direction.

He don't get no commission when you ain't got no engagements, Peter...
so where does that leave you? If I were in this situation I believe I'd look for a different agent, one with Connections.

Did you not read my post? I didn't say i didn't have any gigs, in fact he's in negotiation with an orchestra for me to tour Denark with them as well as various solo recitals. Like i said any one in the US that might be worth him contacting? He only gets the UK directory. It would be nice to crack the US.

I read your posts, Cigleris (with interest, I might add). I did not find any mention of your having gigs presently, or that there are negotiations under way for a tour, and/or various pending solo gigs. But then, at best I'm only an amateur at reading between the lines and my sense of humor needs work
You did, however, specifically ask about your directing your agent to Contacts about gigs in the U.S. It seems to me that, as Diz said, that's what the agent is supposed to do.
