Just finished a search and came up empty. I am looking for a good recorded accompaniment for the Mozart Clarinet Concerto for my daughter's Christmas stocking. Bb clarinet with piano would be acceptable, but if it was for the A clarinet--or both--that would be OK. Hopefully, some one of you may have a product that you could comment on or recomend--I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thank you.
(psst--shhh--and for me--for my Christmas stocking--anyone know of any other good orchestral clarinet concerto accompaniment CDs??)

A friend of mine, John DeWitt has done accompaniment tracks for many of the major solo repertoire pieces for clarinet. He also has done the same for other orchestral instruments.

Midi renditions are very 1998. There is a series by the Chicago Symphony Pianist Melody Lord which has the Mozart Concerto Accompaniment with a real **live** Pianist. Their info is at http://www.myaccompanist.com.

I see that MMO CD 3227 (KV622) was performed by Stanley Drucker, clarinet and accompaniment: Sondra Bianca, piano
I haven't tried this CD, but had the impression that Mr. Drucker was highly regarded.

Dowani sells some nice packages for about $20 each. They include accompaniment at three different speeds, and a copy of the solo part marked with the CD track #'s.
