I am looking for pieces for 2 clarinets and piano, that's virtuosic and would be good to add to a concert.
Thanks Stu

"Il Convegno by Ponchielli my be what you are looking for."
Hank- thanks for this suggestion, I'm pretty sure I've heard this many years ago in a performance but couldn't remember what it was. However the composer's name seems to ring a bell!

A few weeks ago I saw Eddie Daniels and Ilan Schoel play a piece by Mandelsson (spelling?). Not sure if they play the original but hey played it with 2 clarinets and piano.

Felix Mendelssohn wrote "Concertpiece No. 2" Opus 114 for two clarinets that is available for band or piano accp. This is a real fun gem to play - and for the listener as well.

Mendelssohn's Concert Pieces for 2 clarinets and piano are really nice. I've played No. 1 (op. 113, I think) and I prefer this one over No. 2 (op. 114, I think). They were originally written for clarinet and basset, but the transcription for 2 clarinets works perfectly well.

I've played both the of Mendelssohn's concert pieces and they are terrific pieces.
Has anyone ever played Bellini's La Sonnambula by Luigi Bassi for Bb clarinet, Eb clarinet and piano?
