 Happy Thanksgiving
Author: Brenda Siewert

Have a good one everyone. Stay safe. We have so much to be thankful for in our lives, even through the hard times. I'm thankful for all of you and for the community of clarinet players who frequent this board.

I could make a long list, but won't because I'm always thankful for few words and people who get right to the point. I guess that comes from being a magazine editor at one time. Hated those long manuscripts.

Thanks Brenda. And many thanks to you for your advice.
This will be my second one this year. Already had a family get-together on Canadian Thanksgiving in Abbotsford. Bob A

Happy Thanksgiving
Thank you Brenda for reminding us of the many things that we should be grateful for in our lives, and that we have a special time to reflect on the positive elements that far outweigh the negative.

Brenda ... it's always a pleasure to read your threads, always so erudite (no wonder considering your wordsmithing background). We don't "do" thanksgiving in Australia ... our forefathers barged in, took the land off the natives and then feed them welfare and cheap housing (which didn't work).

I do, however, work for a couple of lovely Americans (my boss and a co-worker) so I had some delicious (surprisingly) yam and marshmallow ... this was a new and surprisingly pleasant culinary experience.

Best wishes to you ...

Without music, the world would be grey, very grey.

May I wish Happy Thanksgiving to all, too.

We in Korea had a similar festivity back in September, which was Harvest Day, but many Christians here celebrate Thanksgiving. As a matter of fact, our choir and I (with clarinet) performed 'Come ,Ye thankful people, come' last Sunday.

Hi Brenda,
Thanks for your thoughtfulness. Unfortunately we don't celebrate Thanksgiving Day where I am but I reminded everyone I know about it anyway.
Thanks and God bless!
Bani

I realize everyone around the world doesn't celebrate our American holiday, but as Diz and claclaws and Bani have said--there's something similar everywhere. We can all be thankful for something today.

Smiles.
