 A Russian in Sydney
Author: diz

Aussies ... take your phones off the hook and send your children, partners and pets off to a movie tonight:

ABC Classic FM - 8.00pm SIBELIUS FESTIVAL

Direct broadcast from the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall

Sydney Symphony Orchestra
Vladimir Ashkenazy, conductor

Sibelius Finlandia, op.26
Sibelius Symphony No.1 in E minor, op.39
Sibelius Symphony No.2 in D, op.43

Without music, the world would be grey, very grey.

I have always admired Askenazy in Scriabin and Rachmaninov...he is a great genius.
