The Clarinet BBoard

Hello,
As some of you might remember, I had ordered a scorebook called "Sacred Solos - Clarinet " at Clarinetspot.com. When I asked the opinions at this BBoard, quite a few people wrote the book is okay, so I was waiting eagerly for it to get delivered. It was supposed to take some 3 months in the first place. (I ordered in June/July and the due date was in september).
Now the date has past...way past.
I contacted them, they emailed me saying it's still out of stock, and keep me waiting.
What shall I do? I really want to have the book, but their way of business is quite incomprehensible, in this customer-oriented era..(or am I mistaken? Not so in scorebook publishing?)
----------
Other than that, my clarineting life returns to normal again. Today is a special day for me, as at the amateur ensemble I'm in, the 2nd violin player and I succeeded in playing the 3rd mov. from Mozart quintet... without glitch, finally!^^

Congratulations on your success - finally! That's a great feeling! For sure you can look forward to mastering future goals.
Regarding the score you ordered, if the book isn't in stock you probably have to look elsewhere. Possibly the book is unavailable anywhere, or else the company hasn't taken the time to look around enough. I've experienced both scenarios. If you do your own investigation you'll find out how easy or difficult it is to obtain it. If a store says they can get it for you be sure to ask if they have it in stock. If not, move on to the next company.
In order to find some music that was out of print (some might remember Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings" for clarinet choir?) I've had to be my own private investigator and make lots of inquiries both by e-mail and by phone. The publisher finally sent me a certified copy prepared from their archives. But on the other hand I ordered two sets of Galper's Clarinet Method books from my local music store and they promised to have them shortly, but after several weeks of waiting I ended up taking a 20-minute drive and picking them up off the shelf of another store. Why the first store couldn't obtain them was beyond my comprehension.
Keep up the good work.

Brenda, Ken,
Thank you for your inputs and encouragement.
Ken,
That's the one!! Thank you so much you found it. But what's the next step? Should (or can) I cancel my purchase at Clarinetspot.com now? Isn't the payment from my visa card already made? I'd like to make sure I don't spend twice for a same item...

Lucy -
Cancel your order at Clarinetspot. There should be no trouble, since they can't get the book. Retailers seldom charge your credit card until they receive the merchandise from the manufacturer or wholesaler and ship it to you.
Then order it from Sheet Music Plus.
Best regards.

I've had "Tunes for Bass Clarinet Technic" on back order for nearly two years. Good luck.
