Our local music store which unfortunately has a monopoly on the local business for some reason will not sell Buffet E11's or even R13's. Instead they are pushing Buffet Festivals and Internationals. What are these models and how do they compare with the above. I DO know that they are a lot more expensive than the E11.
Thanks as always for the input!

Donnie,
In our country they sell also the Buffet festival and not the R13's...I think that this strategy comes from Buffet, but I don't have the nearest clue why they do this.... However the E11 is very common in most shops.

The International is a German made Buffet that is actually less expensive than the R-13. The Buffet company doesn't let dealers advertise their price for the Festival on the internet, thus keeping the profit level in a good margin for the dealer. The International has a similar profit level for the dealer. The R-13, however, is so popular and has been marketed so extensively on eBay and throughout the internet with discount dealers like Woodwind and Brasswind, etc., that it is hard to make money on it. Why your local dealer doesn't carry it is a mystery--but perhaps was a decision at the corporate level due to the profit margin.
