Forgive me if this is readily available information. I tried to search for a thread on the topic. Does anyone know of a good arrangement and publisher of the Mozart Clarinet Concert to for concert band in B-flat? I would like to perform the 2nd movement next spring and my director will buy the music if we can find it, otherwise I will have to take an orchestra score and arrange it myself. Thanks!
Tony

If such an arrangement exists I know I will probably be scheduled to play it on the first gig I get after I enter hell.

Totally agree...
But - you know as well as I, that if a concert band existed in Mozart's day, and he was able to earn a quick 100 Ducats by arranging the Clarinet Concerto for band, he probably would have done it in a heartbeat.
Of course, then he probably would have either drank or gambled the money away if he didn't already lend it to Stadler ...GBK

I've played one of the 3rd movement (only) but don't have publisher info handy.

Thanks GBK. I also searched the internet and found Kendor Inc. Don't know anything about them. I have seen the 3rd movement come up all over in searches. I wonder why they would stop with just that movement.
Anyway, it would be fun to try and arrange it myself. I could say that I did it. Woo woo!

Donald Hunsberger has a post 2000 published concert band arrangement of the Mozart. It's complete, all 3 mvts, including B-flat and A versions. I bought a copy, not cheap, around $200.00. But, it's high quality paper on 11X17.
The US Air Force Band in Washington DC also has a respectable staff arranger band adaptation of the Rondo. However, it's generally "out of my cold dead hands" with those folks. v/r Ken

There seems to be an arrangement on the Sibelius site at
http://www.sibeliusmusic.com/cgi-bin/show_score.pl?scoreid=35793 .
Looks as though it is for clarinet in Bflat. It would be interesting to know if anybody has played it.
