OK, quick question, just to solicit some advice-
Just bought an RC Prestige Bb. A 66mm barrel came with it, and while it plays quite well at 440 pitch (using M30 series 13 mouthpiece), I would never be able to get it any higher. I need a 65 mm barrel.
Called the store for suggestions, and they don't have any RC barrels to sell separately (which would equal the density of the wood of my instrument). Suggested either regular R-13 barrels or Moening or Chadash, but I feel strange not getting a barrel without RC dimensions.
Anybody else run into this problem? Interested in anyone's advice-
Thanks in advance...

M30 series 13 is pitched to 440HZ. Get the traditional series M30, that is pitched a bit higher (442HZ)

I always used Moennig on my RC's. They worked the best for me. I wouldn't worry about getting a barrel that has RC written on it, other things will work well and I dont Barrels marked RC are really all that different from the other stock Buffet barrels.

I'm looking at the dealer catalog for Buffet right now, and you can get RC barrels all the way down to 64mm that will deal with your bore concerns. However, I do not see RC Prestige barrels available as accessories. Assuming an identical bore, I would challenge most players to be able to tell the difference between Prestige and "regular" mpingo for the barrel.

No difference between RC and RC Prestige - just the extra Eb key and the badge. Would explain why the RC Prestige barrel is not in the catalogue - it's just an RC.

At a Buffet dealer. You can also find a lot of the same info from websites like Woodwind and Muncy.
