Hi, im a high school clarinet player who recently moved to Atlanta,ga. When I moved my band director gave me a recomendation for private lessons. Sadly this person no longer has any spots for lessons aviable ><.
I'am wondering if anyone in Atlanta,ga area(in or near gwinnet county) knows of a really experinced teacher that I can get lessons from.(the person I had before I moved.......sucked) PLEASE HELP ><

If you care to start from the top you can go to this site, click on Georgia, then click Go to the clarinet section. Some players have there own site and can be clicked on (if in blue) or, you can contact a symphony direct.

What you should be looking for is a contact through a player , eg: one of their students or a recomendation.
I did exactly this some time back via a clarinetist in theDallas Wind Sym. I was recommended 2 teachers in a town 75 miles from Dallas. I intended to give the lessons as a gift to someone but weren't appreciative of my effort, so............

As suggested you can contact Laura Arden - principal of ASO and there are a number of excellent teachers in the Atlanta area - some in Gwinnett County if you stay closer to home. Contact me by email if you want some names of teachers to interview.
