We're just about to start our yearly Composer's Festival with the RSPhO. This year with music by Esa-Pekka Salonen, composer and Music Director of the LA Phil. He will be conducting all the music himself.
Besides four orchestral works which are of the more advanced school I must say, I'm also participating in a chamber piece called "Floof", for soprano, clarinet/BBb contra, cello, synth and percussion.
My question is how widely spread his music is in the US outside the LA area? He has written a few chamber music pieces with clarinet. He's also one of the few composers who ever wrote a piece for clarinet and harpsicord.
Has anybody ever played his music?
Alphie
