I don't have an answer, but I have 'proof' that the song exists. Part of it is sung in the movie 'You've Got Mail'. Now I'm curious, so I will let you know if I find out anything else.
Good luck.

Thanks to you and Leah - I'll have to rent the movie. I saw it in the theater but don't remember the scene.

Thats a good idea Karen. Watch the credits very carefully at the end. They usualy list all musical pieces with composers in the credits even if its public domain.

Dear Paul,
Some of the music for this piece is contained in a clarinet tutor, Enjoy Playing the Clarinet, by Ruth Bonetti. The only lyrics I remember are for the clarinet, the violin, ("the violin's sing-ing goes la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.")(read the upper C part in the book for that one) and the horn. ("the horn the horn it sounds so forlorn.") (all played on the dominant, I think.)
That's the best I can do.
Ginger
PS I posted this under "children's orchestra song", but seeing as someone started a new topic on the same subject, I've posted it in two places so you can see it.Look back at the original for further info.
