Has anyone seen a Gigliotti mouthpiece with a star on the left side and do you know what it means?

How old is the mpc.?
Early ones came from different stock of blanks. Now they come from Babbitt, I understand.
AMG himself used a Kaspar AA in the 60's, and they had a star in the main logo on the back, so maybe yours is some early prototype. His own Kaspar model had no other designations near the table.
You might also contact the AMG company or even Babbitt (they are both sponsors on this bb) but AMG sometimes doesn't return emails....I once asked about barrels and got no response.

Although I never cared for his pieces....the Gigliotti line reputed was better in the early days of production....
the more recent pieces all seem to be stuffy, resistant and require too much work to play decently....

This is the third one I have seen and all on P34 mouthpieces. The P34 is on the right side and the star is on the left. They have all been recently purchased mouthpieces from different locations - WWBW, Weiner, and a local store. Neither wwbw or Weiner knew why and you guys are always full of information. The archive alone can answer 99% of all questions. Thanks.
