The Clarinet BBoard

I just dropped by a local used merchandise store and they have an old clarinet for sale. I must admit my only hands-on experience is with the Bb horns so I don't really know anything about this one. Here is a brief run down: It is made by Boosey and Hawkes but distributed by Lafleur. It is wooden. It measures, at my best guess, about 20 inches long. The body is one piece with a separate barrel, mp and bell (cracked). It is so small that I can barely fit all my fingers on the keys at the one time. They are asking 89.00 (CDN) but the way this store works, the longer it sits the cheaper it gets. (Incidentally, this is the same place I bought a 1995 model Buffett E-12 (in excellent shape) for a mere 119.00 (CDN)so they really don't know their horns. How sweet it is!)
I am not really planning on buying this instrument because, more than likely it will need some work - which I can ill afford at this time. I am just curious about it and if it is something worth looking into I will wait a while and then make a ridiculous offer.
Thanks for any assistance,
Sean
