Does any one know anything about a clarinet stamped P.Gerard (France)? It looks like wood. There is no date on it. I would like to have it reconditioned so I can play it if it would be worth while.

Some time ago I traded for several cls, one was a P Gerard, Paris [I think], alto cl, with double register keying and some oboe-like key stack construction !!, a fair playing horn![not as good as my Selmer] . Sold it on EBAY. Have seen other G's there from time to time. With Mark's info, I conclude that G "stencilled" some other's cls, since Rendall doesnt list him as an actual maker. Luck, Don
