Hi, Dave -
I have a Lacoix LP-B Albert system. So, now we know they go back quite a while. Only markings on mine are: M. Lacroix Paris and LP B. No serial #. Lacroix (or a relative-?) must have been making horns way back when the HP/LP transition was going on (late 1800s, early 1900s) but, other than that, let's hope someone knows more history.
The one I have, for an old horn, though quite 'used', has not disintegrated beyond hope of restoration. They probably used pretty good material at that time, this one anyway, so it's my guess they still do.
With the low Eb, seems like you have a pretty good piece of equipment to work with --- happy restoration(s).
