 Suite No. 1 in G major...for clarinet?

Just maybe.....

Is there a clarinet version of Bach's Suite No 1 in G, the first of the 6 suites for unaccompanied cello. I think this piece could be played very nicely on the clarinet, perhaps an octave up to put it in the right range.

Ever heard of this?

And, a propos of the thread on passionate playing, get the Pablo Casals recordings of the Bach Suites. Play the first phrase of the first movement and repeat it on clarinet, striving to equal his amazing projection and personality.

Best regards.
