There seems to be a lot of good CDs/DVDs through one of amazon's international sites not readily available in the US. I found a couple CDs of Alessandro Carbonare on the amazon Germany site that were not in the US or UK.
Additionally, although my German is quite rusty, I found recently that my computer does a great job at translations for me. If you have a Mac (like me) part of the system software is called Sherlock. Sherlock is usefull for maps/directions, phone books, dictionaries, etc....and as built in translator for over 12 languages! I'll definately take my powerbook with me next time I leave the country.

you found the CDs of Carbonare listed, but could they actually get them for you? as at least one BB regular has found, the Carbonare Cds on the Agora Label can be elusive.....

I don't think cds have regions in them. Most DVDs do, though.

Well, the two I were interested in were both in stock. One has the Poulenc Sonatas and the Sextet; the other (recently released) has the Weber Concertos.
Although they haven't arived yet, until I hear otherwise I'll stay optimistic.
