Buffet Clarinet, What is it?

Hi, I'm a sax player recently become clarinet student. I've got a nice Buffet B-flat instrument serial number 191689, bought on resale which I gather is late '70s manufacture. What I can't seem to find out is what model, R-11, R-13, student or pro instrument. I've had players and repair people say it's a pro instrument, how does one know? I don't see any other stamps or indicators. Nor have I found a good source online for identification. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

According to the experts on this board, the only current Buffet that doesn't have the model stamped on the instrument is the R-13. The R-13 came out in the 1950s. Note that the 1970s would count as "current."

I see, that explains some things. I remember seeing some older ('50s) Buffets with designations, e.g. S-3. Good news. I take it that the "variations" on the 13's, eg Prestige and Tosca have identifying markings, plus they're probably more recent than this '79 instrument. Thanks for the info.
