This post is probably unnecessary to those who know Gregory Smith, but I wanted to publicly thank Gregory Smith for his extraordinary customer service. I had made an enquiry, and he took the time to call me to ascertain whether he could help me (I think he was trying to talk me out of buying another mpc and to have my mpc trimmed locally to bring up the pitch, but, to tell the truth, I didn't want my current Gregory Smith mpc out of my hands or touched by a tech until I know I have another one that works as well as or better than the one I've got) before taking my order. He went the extra mile when he could have just emailed me, he gave me suggestions that would have meant a lost sale for him and he took time out of his tour to telephone me when an email would have sufficed. The man is a true gentleman and I can't recommend his service or products highly enough. Larry Garges

Same here. He was very kind a patient with me last year when I made my order. It can't be easy for someone of his stature to deal with a clarinet ignoramus, which I am in the superlative sense, so he indeed is a pleasure to deal with.e

I have to also add my appreciation for his going out of the way to help when I dropped my mouthpiece and had to order a new one. His quick response was a huge stress reliever.

I wish that Gregory Smith sold cars. He is one person that you can always trust to not only set you up with a good deal, but then follow through to make certain you are totally satisfied.
And, in a room full of "other clarinetists", he is one that you can actually like. Good mpc maker, good player and all-around good guy--and that is the Bottom Line.

Also, if you ever try out his mouthpieces at a convention, etc., he is always willing to spend extra time with each individual (especially younger people). I was just finishing my undergrad when I first met him and purchased my second mouthpiece from him (this time in person). He practically gave me a 20-30 minute lesson there at his table and then also helped to really match me up with the right mouthpiece for my needs at the time.
