Ok, so this past weekend I go sick, I think its pharangitis which is what I usually get when I feel like this. In otherwords, I am couging up a lung, have a sore throat, stuffy nose along with barely having a voice... which is scratchy, airy, and manly.
I have my college placement audition Wednesday. I barely have any lung capacity and I have to play clarinet and bass clarinet?! What do I do? I doubt our band director would take a make-up and this is very competitive. Nyquil and Dayquil do nothing for me!
Would auditioners care if I told them I was sick, or would they think that I suck if I am unable to play at my peak?
I'm still going to go in and play my best and I am going to play for my teacher tomorrow to go over the music, so I will talk to him too. I couldn't get sick at a better time. :(

At least you're not a voice major. More than once over many years I've prepared a work with a chorus, only to get sick and lose my voice at concert time.
Use a steamy shower and warm licquids to loosen everything up. Tea is good, and chicken soup couldn't hurt! Avoid medications that induce drowsyness, the illness will tend to do that on its own. I believe the Vicks medications you mention contain alcohol, not a good idea before performing. Get lots of sleep!

You just have to play the cards you are dealt. We all have had to play through allergy attacks, illness, exams, war, riots and plagues. Can you play through the adversity is the question. Your audition panel is not likely to care too much and certainly won't lower the bar for you, particularly on a day when they have to hear who-knows-how-many other players as well. See if campus medical can help you out with some better cough/sinus meds to get you through the day, and go in there and play like your year depended on it (which I gather it does).
Also, consider not playing for your teacher, and instead review the music without the horn. You may be better off not pushing it physically if you are already compromised. If you aren't prepared already, playing for an hour sick the day before the audition sure isn't going to make the difference.
Good luck!

yepper, panels do not accept notes from Doctors nor do they envision how you'd sound if healthy
Since this is only one day away, perhaps you need to forego the over the counter placebos and get a 'kick start' antibotic shot from your doctor.
