Any hints on the Tempo giusto section where it goes from F# to high D and G
to high D. Overblow the D's? Thanks.

The shortcut I was taught is to first of all mark your music as "slur two tongue two". Then high D is played all open, no keys pressed. All you have to really concentrate on is alternating between the F# and A, then the G and B - with the open D in between, of course. Doing it this way made that section about the easiest part of the piece.

It may help by keeping the jaw a bit lower and working with a vowel like Hee and eooo...this interval is tough legato or articulated...

Listen to the wonderful recording of Leister/Karajan

it is pretty special!!
