I'm a classical guitarist who does some home recording and enjoy collecting other instruments when I find a deal. Today I acquired a Normandy Model 10 clarinet and a Cadet flute. I know that Normandy is Leblanc and the Cadet was made by Brittaney. I assume that both are student models? I'd welcome any opinions about the quality of the Normandy 10--mine is wood with no cracks, all keys seal but are getting marginal, is it worth tuning up? There's quite a bit of info on the Normandy 4, how does it compare to the 10?

The Normandy 10 would definitely be worth an overhaul. A new one is in the medium price range. You can check what the equivalanet new one would cost (still called a Normandy by the way) on sites like the Woodwind and Brasswind.
