This recording has apparently been made available only a few times; i.e., in the 1970s, and in the 1984 Book-of-the-Month set "Artie Shaw: A Legacy".
My question is: has anyone heard it and what is it like?

I know of Artie Shaw's "Blue Interlude", but not "Interlude in Bb".
Let me know if you locate it...GBK

GBK,
Shaw composed this piece for a concert, which was considered his "big break", at the Imperial Theatre in 1936.
It was written for a "legit" string quartet + rhythm section + Shaw. Downbeat said at the time (from the Shaw biography by Vladimir Simosko) that Shaw's clarinet work "will probably keep Goodman awake for several nights to come....", which is why I am interested in it.
Regards,
Hans

Hello, Hans -
I imagine, too, a lot of Shaw's stuff might've put BG into a state of insomnia
