I just got through overhauling a Normandy clarinet which is marked "Normandy 10". Now I have seen Normandy 4's, and even an occassional Normandy 5 or 6. I assume these instruments were made before they became a part of the LeBlanc line. I have two questions:
1) Does the nomenclature, as it ascends, denote a more professional instrument? ( I ask because this instrument is MARVELOUS in tone quality and the ability to play in tune.)
2) Has anyone else ever heard of a Normandy 10?
John

Hi John - Before your questions go off this BB, no, the N 10 is unknown to me, and apparently others, [thot it might have been a "misprinted" 4 {Noblet 40?}, doubtful] , the latest and earlier LeB brochures I have just show only the 4. It could have the pro LeB bore etc improvements, take measurements and compare as best you can. Glad its a goodie!! Don

I also have a Normandy 10 that I am in the process of overhauling. I have not played it yet, but it does look like a very nice horn. Let me know if you find anything out.
