I am trying to figure out the production date of my conn clarinet. I've consulted a list of numbers with corresponding years, but my numbers do not match. My instrument is number 424N B32 41341. If you can help me, I'd be very appreciative. Thanx!

According to my Conn listing, your horn was made in 1917, however please look here in Sneezy, under Equipment, under "How old is my?" for more info. I have an old Conn 22xxx and the date of 1912 corresponds well with my knowledge of its history. Luck, Don

I think that the correct reading of your serial number is:
424N B324134L
Bb in low pitch from the early 40's. 424N is the model number

Well done, Mark [of course I should have seen it!]. That dates the clar as 1947. Don
