 date of fritz wurlitzer schmidt kolbe klarinet

hello I have a Fritz Wurlitzer Schmidt Kolbe klarinet and on the back stands the number 1957. Is that the year of the making of the klarinet or not. Who can tell me? [frown]

Do a search of the ww org archives, you'll find a couple of schmidt -kolbe players have posted there...

Also, if you contact Wurlitzer at Neustadt/Aisch in Germany they might be able to help with information on your instrument - the company is run by Fritz Wrltzr's grandson, Bernd.
