every year each section in my band makes a section shirt for their section to wear and it is the section leaders responsibility to come up with something to put on the shirt. last year our clarinet shirt said "Blame it on the reed!" this year, since i am section leader, i have to think of something to top last years shirt.. any ideas?

"Clarinetists do it with their fingers and..." ... never mind.

"When it's smart not to be bright."

That is the best laugh I will have all day. :)

"K. 581"

"K. 622"

"No, its not an oboe, stupid"

"Got Clarinet?"

"Clarinets give you the runs."

"The Trill of Victory"

"Clarinetists are trilling people." or "Clarinetists lead a trilling life."

"Clarinets - The holiest of instruments" with a picture of a clarinet and lots of little arrows pointing to the holes, each labeled with the word "hole."

"Clarinets do it with alternate fingerings." or "Clarinetists do it with alternate fingerings."

"It takes a Goodman to play clarinet."

"Albert or Boehm? - The only question that matters"

"In search of the perfect reed"

"Reed my lips"

"The clarinetist's embouchure - Made for kissing" (with the optional graphic of a provocative pair of slightly open lips)

or

"The clarinetist's embouchure - Made for kissing
(Do you prefer staccato or legato tonguing?)"

"Clarinets - Known for our tonguing technique"

Or, you can make shirts that don't say anything, but have a graphic such as a few bars of a famous clarinet part, for example the opening few bars, including glissando, of Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" or the cat part in "Peter and the Wolf" or the famous notes of "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy."
