This news was also reported on NPR this week. I was wondering if musicians union, local 802, was in support of the actors (as the actors supported the musicians during their strick against the virtual orchestra and reduced pit minimums). No mention was made in either report.

William:
We at Local 802 AFM, in NYC, were in complete support of Actor's Equity in their struggle to get a fair contract. They seem to have achieved some benefits from their long contract negotiations. Although they did not get nearly what they wanted and deserve, their jobs are protected on the road, and their health befits are secure here in town.
It was a huge compromise, but we were in support of their efforts, as they were of ours, during our recent Broadway negotiations.
All the Unions here, including the Stagehands Local, were all very supportive.
