Can anyone tell me the exact sizes of the clarinet pads for Bb and A clarinets respectively?I need to get the pads from Music Medic but i have no idea what the diameters of the pads are.By the way,the pad sizes are for a Vintage 1930/32 Bb and A pair.

You must measure them (actually, you need to measure the cup - after all those years and guessing that the pads have been replaced a couple times someone may have installed the wrong size pads). There's no "standard" for sizes of pads

You'll probably need a few from each of the following groups ("Chinese menu"): 9 or 9.5 or 10mm, 11 or 11.5mm, 15, 15.5, or 16mm, and 17 or 17.5mm. This is why you need to actually measure them.

Some of the older instruments even use a 10.5mm instead of a 10.0 for upper joint pad cups. I would include 12.0mm also.

For a vintage what? Different brands, different diameters

The thickness of the pads is also important. and that can refer to both the thickness of the felt, and the backing cardboard.

If you order without clear specification, then there is a good chance of getting unsuitable pads, especially for an instrument which is old enough to not be relatively 'orthodox' by today's standards.

Gordon is correct. The thickness is very important to a good rebuild.
