Looking for information on a model clarinet from the late 40's early 50's. The only name on the instrument is Progress inscribed into the bell. Made of what I am sure is Rod Rubber, and silver plated keys. Has a Buffet -Evette mouthpiece with it. Owner believes it was made by Evette. Does anyone have knowledge of this model clarinet?

Material has a green tent similar to the old rod rubber mouthpieces. This material is not resonite, resotone, nor any of the materials currently in use. This material is tooled not molded.

Hi LL - I doubt that you can find more info on your Progress. The only association I recall, is to a mediocre Texas beer, years ago [still being sold?] . Yes its prob an early hard rubber-bodied horn, while the keys may be silver colored, more likely they are nickel [German] silver, as common for "stencil" clarinets from the 30's-50's. Many were made in Europe back then for sale in the US, generally "fair" at best. Any other info, like a serial number? Don
Thanx, Mark, Don
