 eBay rules

I need to make the eBay rules even more specific.

I know that many people want to use this BBoard for both determining selling price for their merchandise and for research into items they want to buy.

In effect this ends up causing a lot of us to spend time looking up information for the seller. That's not really fair.

Please let the seller do the work of obtaining the bona fides of the equipment they're offering, or use the search facility here to see if you can determine whether or not the seller is telling you the truth. If the seller can't guarantee that the object is what they say it is, stay away.

I know that's a hardship for the buyers, but in the spirit of this BBoard please try and refrain from describing specific eBay items in your questions.
