Suggest you post something on the Bulletin Board here, if there isn't a Category it's possible that one could be created. I suppose you could also create a different Thread here on the BB to better attract attention to your need. I know that many Teachers & other professionals from TX are going, probably some students, too.

Why not give a call or email to local clarinet University (ex: Denton) & there & see if any students who want to co-op the trip.

Have you investigated student stand-by type airfares? Also, Washington, DC has at least 1 International Youth Hostel. My daughter stayed in one @ Boston when she was auditioning at NEC. While she wouldn't choose it the Youth Hostel shared room over a private, luxurious Grand Hyatt Hotel Room, the Youth Hostel room was clean, inexpensive, flexible arrival-departure, & had on-site tourist assistance for someone not familiar witrh the (Boston) city. I would say that my daughter's experience was TYPICAL of a Youth Hostel. Getting from parts of the DC area to College Park is no mean feat (but do avoid rush hour on the Beltway!).

"Break a leg" with your ICA Contest & have a great trip.

Huh? He already did post here, on this separate thread, and had no takers, just as I had no takers on an old thread where I offered transportation to DC from Detroit.

Threads that aren't answered are supposed to die a natural death, not be resurrected after a short time just because there were no acceptable answers.
