Hi guys!
I have recently become intrested about rosewood clarinets. It seems that Leblanc is not making the Symphony VII model anymore. Could they have some of them in their stock or have they sold all of them? What other brands there are who are making clarinets out of rosewood? Leblanc seems to be the only one "in the big four" who have made rosewood clarinets. Is there anyone in this board who is playing with that same model or some other rosewood? What are your thoughts about it.
Thanks

How much the Leblanc Symphony VII cost when it was available? I recall that the symphony was just like an opus made out of rosewood. It´s a shame that for me, it is difficult to get my hands on rossi clarinets, because they aren´t available in Finland, where I live. What about Patricola´s rosewood, have anyone tried them?

Hi!
Have you checked
www.godlyd.no
I believe they are the closest dealers in your area! Although they don't have any redwood Rossi clarinet in stock, I am sure they could help you get one!

Dalbergia melanoxylon (mpingo or grenadilla) is a member of the rosewood family. Is there something you would hope to gain by going for another variety of wood?

Someone who have tried patricolas: Are patricolas comparable to buffets, selmers and leblancs. I have never played them and I assume they are harder to sell forward than clarinets that belong to "the big four".
Mark,
I have heard that rosewood clarinets produce nice sound which is a bit different than grenadilla produce. (nothing against them) Furthermore they look really nice.

I have both Rossi and Patricola rosewood clarinets. The Rossi is definitely "sweeter". The Patricola sounds about the same as a Selmer or Buffet.
