I am looking for a source that can give me the fingerings for notes above high G (the one four lines above the staff). All the charts I've found only go up to F and for band I have some music that goes up to a Ab. any help would be greatly appreciated.

The following books are generally available at your local band instrument store and have charts going to the C that is just above the 5th ledger line above the staff.
Rubank Advanced Method Volume I
Rubank Advanced Method Volume II
Klose Complete Method
You can also visit Gary Van Cott's web site (accessible through the menus on this bulletin board) and order the Ridenour book and the Twydd book.

I have apersonal fingering chart that my private teacher made. E-mail me.... I'll try to get my scanner up and running, and I'll send you a page. It goes all the way up to D, 6 lines above the staff..... Hopefully this will help!

I know how frustrating it can be to find decent fingering charts for the altissimo register. I think I have the answer, it was recommended to me in first year by my clarinet prof, it's called, "Clarinet Fingerings" by Thomas Ridenour. It's a little pricy for a fingering book (yes, it's literally an entire coiled book - approx. $16.80 CDN) and not only does it have almost all possible fingerings, the feature that I like best is that it gives brief little blurbs about when to use which fingering for various pieces and it's easy to use - it's great and I highly recommend it! A great tool and a wonderful addition to any music library! Hope this helps

The Ridenour book is currently out of print but I hope to have it as soon as it is published again. Watch my web site for details.
I strongly recommend the Alan Sim Clarinet Fingerings Book (Dee called it the Twydds book). It is very useful and can even be carried in a case if you have a small pocket. I have a sample page illustrated on my web site.
