Hello, everyone! I was wondering if any of you who have seen or bought any of the Orchestra Musician's cd-rom's have any comment on how accurate the parts to the symphonies are.

i have a copy and they're amazing. the parts are not Finale type parts. they're the parts you'd actually see on stage and they're just straight scans of the originals. so whatever mistakes are in the originals i would imagine might be in the CDr. the best part is that you don't even have to print anything at home, you can just practice in front of your computer if you wanted. and for students, you can either print out the page with the solo in question or give them the whole movement or the whole piece. i just ordered volume 2 and i can't wait because it will have the mahler symphonies w/all the clarinet parts on there as well!!!!

I have Vol. 1 and 2, and find them excellent as well! I heard that Vol. 3 is now available... I don't know if that's accurate, or if anyone knows what's in it??? They are DEFINITELY money well spent! A bargain for that matter!!!

As an update, I got the volume 1, and I was quite pleased to see eefer and bass parts as well. Too cool! Might have to get an eefer some day, unless a treatment can be found for Instrument Acquistition Disorder.

I thought this ailment was more often referred to as Gear (or Gadget) Acquisition Syndrome, better known as GAS. Many musicians suffer from it.

I love this collection as well, I got a good laugh out of the Weber Concerto part though. I was curious what they would have in there, and it definately surprised me.
I doubt they will ever ask for that part on an audition :P
