I plan to take up the oboe, of course not to over take my passion for clarinet : ). But, I was wondering if I did start working on the oboe, would it effect my clarinet embochure? The last thing I want to do is fix a "broken" embochure for my clarinet playing. Thanks.

Taking up the oboe, AET, will drastically IMPROVE your cl'embouchure! You can take my word for it because, from your post, I already know you enjoy taking risks.
You'll be... soooo Happy! to get back to your clarinet you'll fly through those Klose' drills with never-before-experienced, and as yet unimaginable glee.

I started on on oboe 2.5 years ago. No problems with clarinet embouchure so far.

I second what Ron said -- learning oboe (the right way -- round and relaxed) has actually improved my clarinet embouchure.
