A used Selmer Signature Bb clarinet I acquired came with a mouthpiece that I cannot identify. It has a “duckbill” shape (like sax mouthpieces) and the only markings are the engraved initials “J. P.” Aside from a James Pyne, which this does not appear to be, can anyone help identify the maker?

Could it be that "JP" was a refacer and that the original engravings were worn away with time, as is the case with much-used vintage mouthpieces ?
