 Salome a la Met

Listened to the Chevron-Texaco Met broadcast last night: Salome. Wow, everything about this performance was awe-inspiring. Gergiev's tempi were murderous in places (fitting really). I hope the Met finds a new sponsor soon, we've become used to these broadcasts here and would hate them o end.

The Met announced that they plan to keep the broadcasts going next season under their own aegis. However, they are also soliciting public support, so get out the checkbook...
