Does anybody know of a good recording of this work? I have found a Larry Combs version in my library - a scratched up old LP. Is this or any other version available on CD? I'm trying to learn it on bass clarinet.
thanks

The only recording i know of the Sonatina is Larry's. It's available on audio cassette only. If you have a decent music store around you, they should be able to get it. I believe it's from Crystal records.

The Larry Combs you mentioned maybe available on a SUMMIT CD
but, I'm not sure of that. It's rather pedantic and "safe", but is probably the only commercial recording around.

Joanne: The Rozsa you seek is on Crystal Cassette C731 and may be available from them direct:
Crystal Records, 2235 Willida Lane, Sedro Woolley, WA 98284
If you can't find one, let me know how I can send you a copy of my 1971 Interlochen National Music Camp performance, live, with 5,000 happy campers in the audience. ET

Are you the Earl Thomas who was teaching at UVic a couple of years ago? I was a student of Pat before that. I would love a copy of your tape - are you still in Victoria?

You might enjoy listening to the Sonata for Clarinet Solo
It's on a Pantheon disc D10761 with Charles Neidich.
