Hi
Someone please tell me the "size" (inches will do just fine) of the printed parts marching band musicians play from?
(width and depth)
thanks

4 inches by 6 inches on my sax charts.
Too damn small to read on my clarinet...
(I can read the itty-biddy print with bifocals, but then staying upright becomes a greater challenge...)

4X6 sounds right ... whatever the dimensions of a standard flip folder is.

I couldn't read those things in high school. I needed the kid in front to wear a teleprompter. I learned to play by ear. (Not always the right parts, but at least I was loud.)

Too effing small! Not all that march are marching band musicians, rather, some of us are musicians that march. If you would like a couple of parts as an example I will fax them to you.

I greatly appreciated the thought last 4th of July when I was handed an obvioulsly enlarged copy of Stars and Stripes Forever for a program at church. Printed in landscape orientation and taking up most of the 8.5 X 11" sheet, I could actually read those notes - maybe for the first time!

If you mount the holder on the middle joint instead of at the bell you can probably almost read the notes.....

I remeber that I always had my holder on the middle joint ... mind you, when I was a teenager I could read the words on a postage stamp from 5 miles away so I never had difficulty reading them ... nowadays is an entirely different matter!
