I am going to see Sabine Meyer play the Copland concert in a couple of weeks time. It will be a first for me (to hear her and the concert too)..
Any interesting notes on either?

I heard her play the Mozart a couple of years ago on a low C clarinet. I'd be interested to know what she plays in this one.

A few of us went to see her conduct a master class at the U. of Toronto awhile back. We were all impressed at the quality of playing, and she was encouraging and gracious in her teaching. She would explain how the student could improve and then she'd play it, most of the time she played the students' parts from memory.

I saw her do the Copland in Australia about 2 years ago now.
I loved it, even though I didnt completely agree on some points, and she squeaked! Proof that it happens to everyone.

I had one of those stay-in-the-car-until-the-musical-piece-ends experiences earlier this week. They were playing Sabine Meyer's Stamitz: Clarinet Concerto No. 3 in B flat. Terrific!
