I own volumes III, IV, and V of this publication (selected by John De Bueris from the Goldman Band). It is out of print. Does anyone know of a source to get volumes I and II?

JL -

These are long, LONG out of print -- since the 1950s. Selections were reissued in two books in the 60s, but they are also long out of print.

I have volumes 1, 2, 3 and 5, which I got many years ago. Even then, vol. 4 was impossible to find, so you have a rarity.

As you know, they're the 1st clarinet parts for all the Goldman Band transcriptions, where the clarinets stood in for the 1st violins, so they're full of black notes. It's the best possible sight reading exercise -- you get another player (preferably a bit better than you are) and just read and read.

Contact me privately and we'll figure something out.

Best regards.
