Rome Festival

Has anyone ever heard of the Rome Festival or participated in it?

I participated in it. The strength of the festival is the fact that you're in Rome, and get to experience the culture. In the month I was there, I had one lesson. I did get to play some good repertoire, however.

Chris,

Do you get paid? Do they pay for everything? I was confused about that-also is it very competitive? Did you get to see a lot of other performances? Sorry for the 20 questions, but the website isn't all that helpful and I have e-mailed them about 4 times and they still really haven't answered my questions. Thanks!

I noticed this thread from over two years back and was wondering if anyone had anything more recent to add. Anyone done the program, or heard of others who have? Is the orchestra strong? It would, of course, be great to be in Rome, but I want to be working with other high quality musicians. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
