Mark, or anyone?
I'll ask maybe a dumb computer question....
When I print a page from here on <woodwind.org>, it doesn't ever fit the page exactly. The content appears to large for the page and is cut off on the right. If I play with the print setup I can make it smaller, but still cut off on the right. Other websites print with the same problem, but many also offer a "printable page" version. which does fit.
My computer setup is ordinary, Window 98, AOL, HP 5550.
What gives?

Your best bet is to copy and paste the information into some word program. That way you can also edit out any information you don't want.

Hi Wayne,
If you are using Internet Explorer, even with AOL, you can go to File and Page Setup and print in the Landscape mode rather than Portrait. The page is wider than 8 1/2 in portrait mode and even chnaging the margins does not help. If oyu are using an AOL browser, I have no idea!
Too much good information for one page, I guess.

You have both reassured me that I am not nuts. Alexi, copying and pasting is what I've always done, but I have never before asked if there was a better way. Hank, duh... I had never thought of doing what you suggest! Your method works fine. And yes, the situation is the same with Explorer or the AOL browser.
Can anyone explain what the reason for this is? Something to do with HTML?

Yes.
The page is set to be a fixed number of pixels wide, to provide a good "screen" experience. Unfortunately, that doesn't provide a good "print" experience.
I've been working on alternative layouts of the pages, but things always take longer than you think  - I still haven't even ported all the old pages to the new layout!
