Hello all,
I'm keen to develop the repair skills (padding, springs, corks) I have already learned in seminars and courses.
Can someone suggest any reading material for assistance in this?
I'm not interested in doing modifications or crack repair etc, just routine maintenance to avoid having to pay ENOURMOUS repair bills!
Danny.

Check out the sponsor link for Van Cott. I recommend the book by Robert Saska, A guide to Repairing Woodwinds, and another by Ernest Ferron, "The Clarinet Revealed".

I was just going to say the same. Van Cott has some good books under there. I picked up a copy of "A Clarinetist's Notebook: Volume I" which is all about repairs. I haven't had to use it yet, but it seems to be a good one (although old in the sense that 75 percent of the recommended stores to buy tools from no longer seem to exist)
